TESTED AND PROVEN METHODS TO REMOVE DUST AND ALLERGENS FROM CARPET: CARPET CLEANING JACKSONVILLE FL

One of the major problems with Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida weather is the prevalence of dust and other health related issues. It is understood that lots of dust particles and allergens exist in homes, this major concern is generated from various sources in Northeast Florida. The problem begins when dust finds its way to residential environments. If left untreated, carpets are a breeding ground for dust mites. Dust will get captured carpets and upholstery. Just like any type of air filter, carpets need to be cleaned frequently in order to remove the dust and dirt that has been caught by the carpet fibers. Additionally, upholstery needs to be cleaned on a regular basis to reduce this health risk and also to maintain an appealing image and extend its lifespan. When you take care of your carpet on a regular basis, it’ll last longer and preserve a beautiful appearance. The opposite is also true, if dust is not controlled and cleaned from carpets and all surfaces, dust can accumulate in all places thereby causing indoor air pollution and accelerating wear and tear and deterioration of furniture, carpets, etc. The problem is aggravated and increased if you live in certain Jacksonville or Ponte Vedra Beach areas known for accumulating dust at much higher levels. These geographic residences having significant fabric material surfaces may trap dust at much higher rates. This situation is particular sensitive for people having health issues. For people with asthma and other respiratory problems, this can pose a serious health risk. Hence, regular carpet cleaning service is of utmost importance if you are to maintain good quality air flow inside the home.

VACUUMING CARPET IS NOT CARPET CLEANING

When it comes to carpet cleaning, even though you can do it on your own using a consumer vacuum cleaner, it may not remove all the dust accumulated. Regular vacuum cleaners used in residential settings, are different from the ones used by professional carpet cleaning service providers, not having the same power and ability to clean carpets on the same level. Hence, it is advisable to seek the help of reputable professional carpet cleaning company, such as Jessie’s.

CARPET HOT WATER EXTRACTION STEAM CLEANING SERVICE JACKSONVILLE FL

Our professional carpet cleaning procedure starts with a thorough evaluation of carpet condition. We then pre-treat areas of concern to allow the chemicals to dwell and start the cleaning process. This procedure helps in loosening the soil and dirt that destroys the fiber on the carpet which is then removed using a powerful vacuum cleaner. A pre-conditioner is then applied to suspend and remove any remaining soil. We sanitize, deodorize, and disinfect your carpets for a super clean result. And finally, our hot water extraction process is done to gently clean the carpet fibers and remove cleaning residues, if any. Our advanced cleaning methods will ensure carpet freshness and healthiness for a safe and clean living environment. This progression also helps to dry the carpet faster. In addition to our carpet cleaning process, we also offer (pet or any other kind of) odor removal services, stain removal services, water extraction services, home cleaning services, maid service, housekeeping service, move-in and move-out cleaning services, etc.

Professional Home Cleaning Service in Jacksonville Florida. Jessie’s House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING shares home-maintenance tips for spring.

Isn’t it marvelous to live in the sunshine state? Could your home benefit from a facelift in spring 2016? The exterior as well as the interior must be given adequate attention to have a balanced result. However, it does not have to break the bank, all you need is a little creativity, elbow grease, and motivation to engage and remain focused on the task at hand. Jessie will provide the roadmap to a fun dwelling place this spring.

After a long, dark winter, spring's bright sun and warm winds are, well, a breath of fresh air. The only downside? All that sunshine spotlights your leaf-filled gutters, cracked sidewalks and the dead plants in last year's flower beds. Jessie’s House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING, a Jacksonville professional and BBB accredited total home care service provider, will share with you this checklist to help you target the areas that need maintenance so you can get your chores done quickly, leaving you time to go outside and play in wonderful Florida sunshine.

EXTERIOR

CHECK GUTTERS
Check for loose or leaky gutters. Improper drainage can lead to water in the basement or crawl space. Make sure downspouts drain away from the foundation and are clear and free of debris.

AVOID FLOODING
Low areas in the yard or next to the foundation should be filled with compacted soil. Spring rains can cause yard flooding, which can lead to foundation flooding and damage. Also, when water pools in these low areas in summer, it creates a breeding ground for insects.

REPAIR WOOD
Use a screwdriver to probe the wood trim around windows, doors, railings and decks. Make repairs now before the spring rains do more damage to the exposed wood.

EXAMINE ROOF SHINGLES
From the ground, examine roof shingles to see if any were lost or damaged during winter. If your home has an older roof covering, you may want to start a budget for replacement. The summer sun can really damage roof shingles. Shingles that are cracked, buckled or loose or are missing granules need to be replaced. Flashing around plumbing vents, skylights and chimneys need to be checked and repaired by a qualified roofer.

CHIMNEY CHECK
Examine the exterior of the chimney for signs of damage. Have the flue cleaned and inspected by a certified chimney sweep.

TAKE CARE OF CONCRETE CRACKS
Inspect concrete slabs for signs of cracks or movement. All exterior slabs except pool decks should drain away from the home's foundation. Fill cracks with a concrete crack filler or silicone caulk. When weather permits, power-wash and then seal the concrete.

FIREWOOD STORAGE
Remove firewood stored near the home. Firewood should be stored at least 18 inches off the ground at least 2 feet from the structure.

CHECK HOSES AND PLUMING
Check outside hose faucets for freeze damage. Turn the water on and place your thumb or finger over the opening. If you can stop the flow of water, it is likely the pipe inside the home is damaged and will need to be replaced. While you're at it, check the garden hose for dry rot.

CLEAN A.C. COILS AND REPLACE FILTER
Have a qualified heating and cooling contractor clean and service the outside unit of the air conditioning system. Clean coils operate more efficiently, and an annual service call will keep the system working at peak performance levels. Change interior filters on a regular basis.

LAWN EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Check your gas- and battery-powered lawn equipment to make sure it is ready for summer use. Clean equipment and sharp cutting blades will make yardwork easier.

CLEAN OFF PATIO FURNITURE
Patio furniture is another one of those things that gets hit hard over the winter. I may end up coated with fuzzy dirty debris. Power wash your set if it’s sturdy; otherwise wipe it down with some cleaners made for outdoor furniture. Spray a fresh coat of paint on furniture and replace the cushions. Fill an empty spot on the porch or stoop with a modern bench or porch swing. Once you have your table and chairs sparkling clean again, bring out your chair cushions and outdoor throw pillows to really punch up the color and comfort! And get your outdoor space ready for summer!

PRESSURE WASH YOUR DRIVEWAY, DECK, AND HOUSE
Winter can leave a lot of your home covered in gunk. Dirt, debris, mold, moss and who knows what else always seems to adhere itself to your deck, your driveway, the outside of your gutters and even the siding of your house. Rent (or hire Jessie’s) a power washer on a nice day and go to town on any place that could use a good wash down. The results will be stunning and an instant facelift! Take this time to wash your cars, too. Might as well!

INTERIOR

CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET
Once the warmer weather hits, it’s time to store those winter clothes and break out the t-shirts, shorts and springy dresses! Put your bulky sweaters and coats into airtight totes or bins and store them in the garage or another closet till winter strikes again. This is also a great time to assess what you really wear and what you don’t. Be honest! If you haven’t worn something in months, donate it!

SWITCH TO LIGHTER BEDDING
Similar to your clothing, spring is also the time to switch to lighter bedding. Ditch the flannel sheets, thick duvets and wool blankets and opt for breezier cotton. Keep a light throw nearby in case the nights still get chilly! You can even totally switch up the look of your bedroom by trading out decorative pillows or changing up the color of your bedding. Have one look for fall/winter and one for spring/summer – this will keep things from getting boring!

DECLUTTER EACH ROOM AND ORGANIZE THE REST
This is one that might take a couple weeks to get through, but try going through each room in your home and getting rid of things you don’t use or like anymore. Donate things in good condition and toss the rest. Once everything is decluttered, go through again and organize what you have left. Group things and store them in boxes for later use or arrange them in ways that make sense so you can admire them or use them later!

CLEAR OUT EXPIRED ITEMS FROM THE FRIDGE AND THE PANTRY
Spring is a fantastic time to take a little peek in your fridge and pantry and get rid of all those expired items. I know I’m guilty of forgetting to throw things out sometimes! Once you have all of the expired offenders out of the way, reorganize both your fridge and your pantry, grouping like items together. For example, make sure all of your pastas and sauces are on one shelf, snacks on another, baking supplies on another, etc.

DEEP CLEAN KITCHEN AND BATHROOMS
Make your home sparkle and shine like the coming sun by giving your kitchen and your bathrooms a thorough deep clean. Pull back appliances, dust the tops of the cabinets, clean out your showerhead, and dust the blinds. Really get in those nooks and crannies and use some elbow grease. If you have kids and/or pets at home, be sure to use safe cleaning solutions! Nothing is quite as satisfying as sparkling countertops and a pristine powder room. We know a thing or two about cleaning!

UPDATE YOUR PILLOWS
While fabrics such as velvet, silk, and even tweed are beautiful year-round, they can feel a bit heavy for the spring and summer months. It's easy to give your home frequent updates by having a "pillow wardrobe" for various seasons, just like you do for your clothing. Spring is a great time of year to bring in pillows in breezy fabrics like linen or printed cotton to lighten things up a bit.

REFRESH YOUR BEDDING
Welcome spring and treat yourself! Pick up a new duvet and shams to brighten up your bedroom. This easy fix not only brings color to your room but can help motivate you to make your bed each and every day!

USE FOLIAGE
We like to freshen things up when springtime rolls around with big statement leaves in fun vases. From banana leaves and philodendron leaves, to palms and papyrus, it's an easy and low-maintenance way to add freshness to a room without any fuss. And if you regularly refresh the water and trim the bottom of the stem, the leaves can live on for months.

REARRANGE FURNITURE
Rearrange the floor plan of your living room — it's the ultimate no-cost decorating tip. Moving around your furniture will be a super quick update for the new season and will have you feeling brand new.

ADD SOME COLOR
Colorful accessories are always an easy update for spring. Affordable vases, interesting objects, and colorful books brighten any coffee table or entry console in minutes. Bold agate accents, gold-leaf pieces, and fashion books are my favorites when accessorizing my own home.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
Spring is a time when we all want the freshness of the outdoors to be reflected in ourselves and our interiors. Renewal doesn't mean you have to change everything in your home. Send out area rugs for spring cleaning and try having bare floors for a time. Remove your usual accessories for a while and have only simple fresh spring branches and some lovely green plants adorning your home. You'll feel like you are being reborn along with the natural world.

BRING IN NEW SCENTS
Change your candles for a fresh breezy laundry scent or something citrusy. I always keep my inventory stocked with wonderful seasonal scents.

MAKE OVER YOUR WALLS
Take spring cleaning to the next level by painting or wallpapering. Nothing freshens up a space more than a new coat of paint. You can tackle as much as a room, or scale it down and add a fresh pop of color or pattern to the back of a bookcase or even on a ceiling.

DRESS UP YOUR TABLE
Put out a gorgeous table cloth. You've got countless fabrics to choose from to transform your space into something magical.

ADD A NEW STATEMENT PIECE
Refreshing a room for spring can be quite easy. Subtle changes such as introducing a playful light fixture or buying a piece of art are simple and can instantly rejuvenate a space.

BRING THE GARDEN INSIDE
We put out bud vases with flowers that we find from walks around the neighborhood with our dog or from the garden. Night-blooming jasmine is our favorite smell of spring.

GO LIGHTER
Let there be light! Bring in the natural sunlight, but also lighten up your fabrics. Similar to your wardrobe, switch out the wool and fur for the linen and cotton fabric. I've gone as far to replace wool curtains with linen for the warmer months.

SATURATE COLOR
Paint a small room in a bright lacquer color.

INVEST IN NEW ART
Update your art collection with spring on the mind. Art could be beautiful and inspiring!

EMBRACE FLORALS
My grandmother used to swap her damask curtains to a floral pattern in the spring. It's an old-school trick that transforms a home from winter to spring.

TIDY UP THE GARAGE
Over the winter it’s easy to just toss things in the garage since it’s usually too cold in there to stay for more than 5 minutes. Muddy winter boots pile up, holiday decorations explode for being moved in and out and so much more. Take an afternoon and put everything back in its place. Invest in some shelving or wall brackets to get items up out of the way. Make sure you place all of your gardening and yard supplies within easy reach – you’ll be needing it!

CLEAN THE WINDOWS AND OPEN THEM UP!
Something that rarely gets done at our house is the cleaning of the windows. As I write this I see little nose/paw prints from our cats littering my office window… oops. Spring is a great time to clean all of your windows inside and out with a little bit of Windex and paper towels or newspaper. While you’re at it, throw open your windows and air out your house. Nothing is as wonderful as breathing in the fresh air and having it permeate your home!

Are you on a budget but still want your home cleaned? There’s a way to make many natural products that are great for cleaning many areas of your home.

Wondering how to save money and use more natural ingredients to clean your home? Cleaning expert, Jessie (from Jessie’s House Cleaning), will show you her 11 favorite cleaning recipes!

You likely have all these items in your house as it stands; so this should be relatively simple to put together.

Remember, it is wise to use these as a complement to products you buy in-store. These homemade cleaning products will not replace many professional cleaning products. Store products and homemade products both serve a purpose. Use about 50% store products and 50% homemade cleaners to have balance. This 50/50 formula would be the best policy.

10 INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED

White and/or cider vinegar: Mild disinfectant, grease cutter, de-scaler, and glass cleaner.

Dish soap: Neutral pH - gentle and safe on essentially every surface and a mild soap that can lift off dirt and grime.

Rubbing alcohol: At least 65% USP in order for it to qualify as a disinfectant, can be mixed with water.

Hydrogen peroxide: Naturally occurring bleach, used in Oxy powders. Uses oxygen to break bonds between dirt and bacteria and the surface they are on. A great disinfectant, stain remover and natural whitener.

Baking soda: Abrasion, deodorizing, great for replacing a scouring powder. This is a great ingredient to make a bathroom cleaning solution. It can be used to boost cleaning power by sprinkling on a sprayed surface.

Essential oil: May provide that special scent. One that you like (and perhaps has some extra beneficial properties) and add 5-10 drops to each bottle.

Distilled water: Needed to mix the ingredients and dilute

Lemons: Great natural cleaning and aromatic agent.

Rosemary: for aromatic purposes.

Vanilla extract: for aromatic purposes.

6 ITEMS YOU’LL NEED

Spray bottles
Bowls
Mason jars
Microfiber cloth
Brushes
Sponges

11 PRODUCTS YOU CAN MAKE WITH THESE INGREDIENTS

1. Glass cleaner
2. Disinfectant
3 All-purpose cleaner
4 Tub and tile cleaner/degreaser
5. Stain remover
6. Stone cleaner
7. Produce wash (cleaner to remove pesticides)
8. Linen spray
9. Electronics, monitor screens, and touch screens (eye glasses) cleaner. Use microfiber cloth.
10. Bathroom cleaner (for scrubbing). Cannot be stored, make only the necessary amount for one use.
11. Lemon cleaner (takes two weeks).

HOW TO MAKE YOUR HOMEMADE CLEANING PRODUCTS (RECIPES) AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF CLEANING PRODUCTS:

Glass cleaner - 50/50 water and vinegar mix, use to clean windows and mirrors - smell dissipates quickly

Disinfectant - 50/50 water and rubbing alcohol, use to spray and leave after you've cleaned a surface, only use where required i.e. points of contact, cutting boards, bathrooms etc. Note that a disinfectant does not necessarily clean (i.e. lift dirt off) so this is the 2nd part of a two-step cleaning process (first part is the actual cleaning with a cleaner).

All-purpose cleaner - 1-2 tablespoon dish washing soap per bottle of water. Great to use for cleaning kitchen, bathroom surfaces, hallways, most furniture. Won't leave residue behind. If you are finding residue, reduce the amount of dish liquid being used (they vary in recipes).

Tub and tile cleaner/degreaser - 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup dish liquid. Use for soap scum on tiles and glass, greasy kitchens etc. Spray, let it sit for 5 minutes and start to clean.

Stain remover - 1 cup hydrogen peroxide, 1/2 cup dish liquid. Amazing, simply spray on a stain, rub it in, rinse it out. Can also be used as a pre-treatment for stains. Test in an inconspicuous area first as the hydrogen peroxide may discolor.

Stone cleaner – For quartz, granite, or marble countertops – ¼ cup rubbing alcohol, ¾ cup water, 2 table spoons of dish soap, 10 drops of essential oils. Shake and use a micro fiber cloth.

Produce wash - 2 table spoons of baking soda, 1 cup of water, ½ cup of white vinegar.
Instructions: Use a Mason jar or bowl and let it sit for about five minutes (shake to distribute baking soda evenly). place the produce with the produce wash and let it sit for about 10 minutes then scrub produce to remove produce wash and anything else on the surface. Rinse with water and dry. Rinse to remove produce wash.

Linen spray - 50/50 distilled water and vodka (cheap colorless, odorless, flavorless), 30 to 40 drops of colorless essential oil. Look for essential oils that have calming properties (not energizing properties). Use spray bottle. (Note: For pet owners that my cuddle with pets: Some essential oils could be harmful to pets, therefore research which oils would be best for your use).

Electronics, monitor screens, and touch screens (eye glasses) cleaner - 1/3 cup distilled water and 2/3 cup rubbing alcohol (33% distilled water and 67% rubbing alcohol). Use spray bottle and microfiber cloth.

Bathroom cleaner: 50/50 baking soda and dish washing soap. Add a few drops of water until it forms a paste. Add 5-10 drops of essential oil. Use a sponge and pre-treat areas and then scrub (with scrub side of the sponge) with sponge.

Lemon cleaner: 3 lemons, use only lemon peels (cut in eight pieces each lemon and remove the pulp). ½ cup water, ½ cup vinegar, 3-5 pieces of rosemary leaves, and 10 drops of vanilla extract. Leave it to infuse for two weeks in a sealed Mason jar. After two weeks, place in a spray bottle.

In closing, it could be hard to find time to make your own homemade products and to deep clean your home. Therefore, if you cannot find time to make these products or to deep clean your home or if you are not fully comfortable making these cleaning products, you can always contact us, Jessie's House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING and we’ll take care of all your home cleaning service needs in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Orange Park, Saint Augustine Beach, and all Northeast Florida. <![CDATA[Jacksonville Move-Out Home Cleaning Service Tips: How To Do Move-Out Home Cleaning]]>Tue, 15 Dec 2015 16:36:29 GMThttps://jessieshousecleaning.com/cleaning-blog/jacksonville-move-out-home-cleaning-service-tipshow-to-do-move-out-home-cleaning
When your tenancy period is expiring then there are many tensions that you have to deal with. You have to search for some other home that fits your needs which is really a very tough job. You also have to pack up your stuff which takes a lot of time and effort. Finally, you also have to perform the house cleaning which is the biggest job to be done and also the most stressful one.

Obviously, you have to bring back the home to its original condition which really requires much time and at that moment it will just stress you out as you have to do a number of things to complete the job. If you fail in bringing the home back to its original state then obviously your landlord is going to deduct some of the money from your security deposit.

When you perform the end of tenancy home cleaning, then the first thing you need to do is to decide whether you are going to do it yourself or who else is going to perform this job for you. Do you have what it takes to do it yourself or are you going to hire a professional cleaning service? Always remember that if you are going to perform this job on your own then you have to give it a thorough evaluation. You have to look around the entire house and make a list of the things that you need to do while home cleaning. If you are going to adapt this strategy then there are hardly any chances that you are going to miss any of the details. This must be done very carefully so that at the day of inspection; your landlord or the agent might not point out any of the left over jobs. This will not only make you lose some of your deposit funds but it will also be very embarrassing for you to face and deal with this situation.

Majority of the landlords today do want their properties to be cleaned in a professional way. They expect that the tenant is going to hire some professional company for performing these jobs and the results will be brilliant. If you fail to meet this standard or expectation then for sure you are going to be in a huge loss. For unsatisfactory home cleaning results, the landlords are going to put some financial penalties on you. Also, it is possible that the landlords or agents are going to hire some company by themselves for this purpose and then they will be charging you for this job. This will be much expensive as it will also include the management fees. Also, your effort and time invested on this task will be completely wasted. So, it is better to hire some reliable and efficient cleaning company at the very first step so that you might not face the loss.

So, always think hard before getting into this end of tenancy cleaning that there are chances that you are going to regret for this decision. Still, if you are willing to perform this job then you must make sure that you have not ignored any part of the house. Do place each and everything in its proper place then much of your job will be done. Always start from the job that needs the most efforts and time. Do not waste your energy on performing the jobs that can be done afterwards and that are easy to be done. By following these tips your job will be successful.

In closing, it could be hard to find time to perform a deep clean move-out cleaning when making the transition. Most people don’t realize how hard this task could be until they make an attempt to do it. Therefore, if you cannot clean the property thoroughly for a move-out cleaning, you can always contact us, Jessie's House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING; we’ll take care of all your move-out home and carpet cleaning service needs in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Orange Park, Saint Augustine Beach, and all Northeast Florida.

We are here to serve you and to contribute to you having a smooth transition from one dwelling place on to the next. Life is too short to get stressed over these matters and hiring a cleaning service would probably be the best decision in most cases.

<![CDATA[Jacksonville Home Cleaning Services Tips: Bathroom Cleaning Tips That You Should Use]]>Thu, 10 Dec 2015 12:47:29 GMThttps://jessieshousecleaning.com/cleaning-blog/jacksonville-home-cleaning-services-tipsbathroom-cleaning-tips-that-you-should-use
A proper cleansing of the bathroom is essential for keeping the house clean and free of unhealthy bacteria. The wet rooms in general are more vulnerable to the spreading of germs and dirt, so you want to take your free time and use the most efficient techniques for sanitizing and deodorizing the bathroom. Next are a few tips and tricks that can help you with this challenge.

Begin with a thorough inspection of the condition of staining of the different objects and accessories. Whether there are plenty of small bathroom accessories or tools, or you keep them in big cabinets, shelves, racks, etc. - take into account the degree of staining of every object. The dried water drops are usually quite hard for cleaning, because they form a quite hard bond with the surfaces too. Another great tip is to consider the last time for bathroom sanitation. If you use it more frequently - you should clean it more frequently and vice-versa. All these details will give you a better idea after the inspection about the right type of detergents, tools and compounds that you should use.

Organize the makeup and all other small accessories that you use every day. A large container or a couple of new shelves should be enough. They will take quite some space from the bathroom, but it is better to have all the small items organized and sorted justly. This will also help you to keep them clean, as well as save space in the bathroom.

Clean the mirror, the window or other glass objects with a commercial detergent for glass surfaces. After that, spray the glass objects that are more vulnerable to spills and drops with a glass protective solution. It will prevent the objects from condensation and drop formation, just like the front glass of the cars from the rain. What better way to get rid of the toothpaste drops on the mirror!

Store cloths in the bathroom and maintain them regularly, even if you`re not using them. The dry cloths absorb moisture very quickly and so they may become dirty very easily. On the other hand, this is a great way to reduce the moisture in the bathroom, especially if there are no windows or ventilation. Keep at least a couple more unused cloths in an open space in the bathroom, for example - on the shelves.

The shower, the sink and the toilette require more attention in order to sanitize them properly. Get a special non-abrasive detergent for the chrome parts, which will make them shiny and clean without scratching them. Clean the toilette with the toilette brush and don`t forget to change the deodorizer. The large objects in the bathroom require more time, but if you clean them before the floor - you reduce the chance of spreading dirt and bacteria on the "already clean" floor.

The bathroom floorings and the walls are the key for flawless results after the house cleaning. They are also the most difficult parts to overcome. If they are heavily soiled, because you don`t clean them regularly – a great advice is to use the professional services of a cleaning company. The expert cleaners have professional tools, floor cleaning machines, and detergents, which provide an unmatched result when sanitizing, deodorizing and deep cleaning. Or else, try to deal with the light stains by yourself. Use domestic detergents and always change the clean water for the towels for scrubbing. A grooming brush is perfect for removal of dry dirt and stains from grout lines and edges.

In closing, it could be hard to find time to deep clean the bathroom in the midst of many activities taking place during this fourth quarter. Therefore, if you cannot find time to clean the bathroom or if you are not fully comfortable cleaning your own bathroom or the tile (such as the ceramic tile, floor tile, etc.), you can always contact us, Jessie's House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING and we’ll take care of all your bathroom cleaning service needs in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Orange Park, Saint Augustine Beach, and all Northeast Florida. We are here to serve you and to contribute to you having a great home environment available to entertain your special guests this season.

<![CDATA[Jacksonville Home Cleaning Services Tips: The 10 tips to enhance the home atmosphere after cleaning]]>Tue, 01 Dec 2015 16:35:52 GMThttps://jessieshousecleaning.com/cleaning-blog/jacksonville-home-cleaning-services-tips-the-10-tips-to-enhance-the-home-atmosphere-after-cleaning
After the big house cleaning, which usually includes everything from the carpets to the ceilings, you probably want to add a little bit of a renovated highlight to the home atmosphere. The following 10 tips and advice will help you to jazz up your home with fresh carpet textures, new scents, natural lights, and more. Take a look!

Tip 1: Sanitize the most frequently used rooms - the kitchen and the bathroom. The treatments during a regular home cleaning are not enough to eliminate all bacteria and germs that hide between the grout lines on the walls. Sanitize the sink and the mirrors too. Then, spend a few more hours for sanitizing the kitchen and especially the counter top and the sink. Sanitize thoroughly the chrome parts, which will guarantee a longer lasting shine.

Tip 2: Deodorizing is the next important tip. It is the most important final touch of every house cleaning if you have kids or pets at home. It is also required if you let your guests and friends to enter without taking their shoes off, or if you let your cats and dogs to sit on the furniture. All these factors are the main issues for the appearing of unwanted odors. Not to mention the table and the adjacent areas in the dining room, which are most vulnerable to kitchen odors.

Tip 3: Jazz up the carpet fluffiness. Even the most thoroughly cleaned carpet with homemade detergents and tools needs a couple of passes with the vacuuming machine. It will help reduce the moisture left from the wet cleaning, as well as restores the fluffiness of the fibers to make them looking like new.

Tip 4: Enhance the light. Clean the windows so they can easily wash light through the very heart of the house. Another great tip is to change the curtains, which usually get dirty or they lose the texture with the time. Don`t forget to clean the window frames and finish by wiping off dust from the lights fixtures to ensure the perfect artificial light in the nighttime.

Tip 5: Introduce new scents in your home. Every house after deep cleaning looks like new and refreshing but there is nothing to beat the feel that one gets from just walking through the house, than a new fragrance. Plant pots with flowers and fruits in the spring, so they can flourish in the warm summertime. What better way to get a true natural scent out of a decorative pot!

Tip 6: Put decorative candlesticks all around the house and use ones with artificial scents. For instance, use candlesticks with essential oils. They spread out a very pleasant aroma over time, as well as quite longer lasting.

Tip 7: Rotate carpets and rugs. When you receive your carpets from the carpet cleaning company - a great idea is to flip them on their backings. Thus, you expose a new side to the foot traffic, keeping the other side clean for a longer time. Rotating carpets and rugs is the same, but it is more suitable for carpets with only one side.

Tip 8: Change the clothes in the closet according to the season. Change the blankets as well. Do not forget to deodorize the closet with a new scent to enhance the atmosphere even more.

Tip 9: Get rid of the useless items, such as waste materials from the house cleaning, old newspapers, broken furniture, etc. From donation, to selling them or hoarding in a rental storage unit – there are numerous ways to help clean the house by getting rid of the useless items.

Tip 10: Rearrange the furnishings. Whether it comes to small or big changes – it will add points to all other activities for the enhancement of the after-cleaning home atmosphere.

<![CDATA[Jacksonville Home Cleaning Tips: How to Make Home Cleaning Easier]]>Tue, 24 Nov 2015 13:43:35 GMThttps://jessieshousecleaning.com/cleaning-blog/jacksonville-home-cleaning-tipshow-to-make-home-cleaning-easier
If you often catch yourself feeling reluctant to clean and perform any cleaning service in your home, you are definitely not alone in this. People are usually not big fans of cleaning, as it’s bothersome and requires quite an investment of time and effort.

Since cleaning is very important, you need to develop a new point of view about it. There is no going around the fact that you need to be regular at it, or else your home will turn into a mess and you don’t want that. With the following tips in mind, you can actually make home cleaning a lot more bearable and easy. Ensure you have an easier time with this task by implementing these tips:

- Make cleaning a routine - if you allow chores to build up, you will most certainly have a hard time doing all of them. Getting all of it done will not only require a lot of time, but also a great deal of effort, which is exactly the reason why you should not allow this to happen. Staying on top of your cleaning chores will guarantee that they don’t require so much work in the future. You need to be regular at certain tasks, in order to ensure that you don’t find yourself overwhelmed later on. Let’s take an example: washing dishes. In case you don’t have a dishwasher, you need to do this task by hand. If you allow too many dishes to pile up in your kitchen, you will have to spend an awful lot of time to get them clean. However, if you spend just a few minutes to clean the dishes you have used for that meal, you will save yourself a lot of trouble in the future. It is easier to deal with few dishes than having a whole sink of them.

- Complete small tasks first - when you are starting a home cleaning session, be sure to take on the smaller tasks first. That way you will be able to focus on the essential part later on with greater ease. The presence of too much clutter will greatly hinder your efforts and make your work slow and ineffective. It is important to build momentum and clear the place so that you can start your domestic cleaning chores with ease.

- Take regular rests - whatever the cleaning task you need to engage in, you must remember to take regular breaks. Otherwise you will quickly grow tired and perform your tasks in a less efficient manner. You will not feel any stress and be less troubled when it comes to cleaning service, if you just rest regularly.

- Ensure you have enough time - if you need to rush as you clean, you will be quite stressed and possibly do a poor job. Allow yourself enough time to finish any tasks related to cleaning as that way you will be most effective and be able to do everything that needs to be done without any worries at all.

Implement these simple suggestions in your cleaning sessions and you will certainly have an easier time than before.

In closing, it could be hard to find time to clean your home in the midst of many activities taking place during this fourth quarter. Therefore, if you cannot find time to clean your home or if you are not fully comfortable cleaning certain areas of your home (kitchen, bathrooms, etc.), you can always contact us, Jessie's House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING and we’ll take care of all your home cleaning service needs in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Orange Park, Saint Augustine Beach, and all Northeast Florida. <![CDATA[Jacksonville Home Cleaning Tips For Oven Cleaning: Take a look at these 5 oven cleaning tips]]>Tue, 17 Nov 2015 14:45:33 GMThttps://jessieshousecleaning.com/cleaning-blog/jacksonville-home-cleaning-tips-for-oven-cleaning-take-a-look-at-these-5-oven-cleaning-tips
The long domestic cleaning can`t move on without cleaning the oven or the gas stove. These two objects usually see the heaviest stains and kitchen dirt such as dried greasy spots, food crumbs, etc. Not to mention that the microwave is another thing that requires at least half an hour for deep cleaning and polishing. Take a look at the following 5 oven cleaning tips:

Tip 1: Clean the oven in parts. Remove as much parts as possible. Detach the racks and the shelves, and if it is possible - the door. One, you will have plenty of room for an easier cleansing of the interior of the oven and two - it will be easier to deep clean the detached parts. Make a quick inspection for visual stains. Take into account their color and location, because there may be needed just a quick spot cleaning instead of a lot of rubbing and applying numerous compounds. The grits and the shelves require individual cares, but in all cases - it is much easier to clean more parts individually instead of trying to get through narrow spaces or within two dirty shelves.

Tip 2: Try to keep your home clean with homemade detergents. The oven is not an exception. Most kitchen appliances can be deep cleaned even with typical products that you can find in the kitchen. From hot water with dish detergent, to baking soda, white vinegar and lemon juice in the form of a foam - you can take advantage of a truly strong detergent depending on how much you`re mixing. Such as homemade solution can be used for dissolving dried kitchen grease from butter, tomato sauce, coffee spills and more. This homemade solution is not dangerous for the metal surfaces, while in the meantime, the lemon juice spreads out a pleasant aroma. It acts as a sanitizing agent and as a deodorizer at once to repel future odors.

Tip 3: Soak up the parts from the oven or from the stove in the detergent compound in order to enhance the dissolving power. This is an especially useful tip for heavily soiled parts such as metal shelves with coils. The dried kitchen grease is so hard that it can`t be wiped off with the brush. However, only a couple of hours or even less might be enough to soften the dried spot and to make it easier for wiping off with just a sponge. Meanwhile, you can deal with a number of other objects during the house cleaning.

Tip 4: Clean the inner compartments of the stove and the oven, as well as the outer ones. They may include and not only, the lights and the ventilation systems, as well as knobs, buttons and others. The handles should also be sanitized and cleaned properly, especially if you do it more rarely like once a year. Make sure to use only non-toxic detergents if you prefer the stronger, commercial ones. Don`t forget to leave the doors open for a few hours right after the cleaning, which will enhance the drying time. Another great tip is to use paper towels to wipe off the excess moisture and drops.

Tip 5: Use a grooming brush when cleaning the coils of the grit and the shelves. The fibers of the brush can get through the hidden spots, which makes the oven cleaning much easier. Finish by polishing the metal surfaces with a special protective wax for metals. It acts as a sealer and it repels from future stains.

In closing, it could be hard to find time to deep clean the oven in the midst of many activities taking place during this fourth quarter. Therefore, if you cannot find time to clean the oven or if you are not fully comfortable cleaning your own kitchen or other kitchen appliances (such as fridge, etc.), you can always contact us, Jessie's House & Carpet Cleaning 1.877.CLEANING and we’ll take care of all your kitchen cleaning service needs in Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Julington Creek, Orange Park, Saint Augustine Beach, and all Northeast Florida. <![CDATA[Jacksonville Home Cleaning Services Tips for Kitchen Appliances Cleaning: Fine Cleaning of the Most Soiled Kitchen Appliances]]>Tue, 10 Nov 2015 14:20:27 GMThttps://jessieshousecleaning.com/cleaning-blog/jacksonville-home-cleaning-services-tips-for-kitchen-appliances-cleaning-fine-cleaning-of-the-most-soiled-kitchen-appliances
As the holidays are approaching, this would be a great time to deep clean the kitchen appliances and get the kitchen ready for frequent activities. Jacksonville has a few great cleaning services, but sometimes we may want to do the cleaning ourselves. Here are some tips on how to clean some of the more challenging appliances in the kitchen. Cleaning kitchen appliances is not an easy task, but prepared with the right strategy it does not have to be harder than it is. With a little knowledge and patience, you can also be a kitchen cleaning pro in no time!

We’ll tackle one of the most time consuming appliances to clean. The stove should be high on the list, as you may have to deal with a heavily stained gas stove, electric stove, or with a stove that you keep outdoors in the garden. One of the most important things is to schedule the cleaning for at least a few hours or maybe for a half day in some specific cases, for example, if you have to deal with two stoves. The stove(s) should be the first thing you clean in the kitchen. Take your free time and don`t rush, because the stove is usually one of the dirtiest objects in the kitchen and you risk to make a bigger mess if you clean the stove at the very end of the kitchen cleaning. The professional cleaning services are recommended for big and heavy stoves, as well as with very persistent stains of kitchen grease, dried dirt, discoloration of the surfaces and other blemishes. Or else, fine clean with simple homemade solutions or with a commercial detergent from the store. You may need a metal or a very stiff brush for wiping off the dirt from the burner grit of a gas stove. A few paper towels are required for polishing the metal surfaces, while a sponge soaked up in a homemade solution of baking soda, hot water, dishwashing detergent and rubbing alcohol should play a great role for dissolving even the hard stains. Clean by rubbing with the sponge and finish with a special polishing compound for metal surfaces, which will add another layer of protection to repel future stains and dirt. In the meantime, put the burner grit in a large bowl or right in the sink, in hot water with a low percentage of the cleaning detergent. Rub the grit with a sponge and with the stiff brush, then blot in the compound and rinse with hot water to eliminate all residues of the dislodged dirt and the chemical compounds of the detergent.

The fridge and the freezer are the next highlight when home cleaning by yourself. They need a little bit more time for fine cleaning due to their quite larger dimensions and many different surfaces with complex details, fragile parts, trays, hinges and doors. Yet that`s only in the interior side of the fridge and the freezer. Begin the task by defrosting the fridge and the freezer. Wipe off any excessive amount of water by rinsing a cotton towel in a bowl or via clean sponge. After a few hours, turn the empty and lighter fridge in order to get a better access to the cooling coils on the backside of the fridge. Just a couple of passes with a soft paper towel should be enough, but if there is a lot of dirt, dust or even spider webs - a great tip is to use a flexible duster with electrostatically charged fibers. Then, clean all the inner compartments and detachable items with a usual dishwashing detergent. For the hardest stains - you can even soak the items in hot water and detergent for a few hours to soak and completely dislodge the dirt. Rinse with water and blot dry with a clan towel, a sponge or paper towels.

The oven cleaning is another delicate part of the kitchen cleaning, which requires some fine methods as well as hard rubbing and soaking up in detergents. Remove all the trays and racks, and let them soak in a mix of hot water, baking soda and dishwashing detergent. Then, some hard rubbing with a stiff brush or with a sponge might be needed for a complete removal of the dirt from the metal surfaces. While waiting for the metal racks and trays to naturally dry, let`s get started with the inner parts of the oven.

If you are not fully comfortable cleaning your kitchen and kitchen appliances (recommended at least twice a year), consider hiring a professional. At Jessie’s, we are experts at stove, oven, and fridge cleaning, as well as the entire house.
